Has Joe Thornton Accepted Management Position…in Switzerland?

Could San Jose Sharks legend Joe Thornton be moving into a management role…in Switzerland?

Thornton, who’s currently training with Swiss league team HC Davos, has reportedly agreed to be the Spengler Cup’s Head of Sports. This has yet to be confirmed by Thornton or Spengler Cup president Marc Gianola though.

It’s believed that Jumbo is still hoping to hook on with an NHL team for his 25th NHL season, and that he will begin the Head of Sports position when his pro playing career is over.

Whatever happens, at least it appears Thornton had some fun seeing former Toronto Maple Leafs teammate Mitch Marner in July!
